Kati Oláh

Born on 5. December 1959.

She studies at Dobó Katalin High School in Esztergom (HU), and later at the Pető Institute of Budapest, where she earns her degree in Conductive Education in 1984. She takes up painting in the late ’80-s.

She moves to the North coast of the Lake Balaton with her husband to his childhood village, Paloznak, in 1986. Four years later the couple moves on to Óbudavár, where they found their first art gallery.

In 2007 they return to Paloznak and reestablish their home gallery.

In her paintings she takes inspiration from the stunning Pannonian landscape surrounding her lakeside home.

She’s a member of the Veszprém Artists’ Guild since 2009.

2000 — National Awards of Fine Art and Crafts, 3rd place.

2008 — Ajka (HU), National Exhibition of Fine Art and Crafts, Creator’s Award.

Born on 21. July 1954.

He spends his childhood in Budapest, studies in Győr (HU) and graduates at the Rákóczi Ferenc II. High School in 1974.

Thereafter he starts working at MaFilm Studio where he finishes a course in set design, but throughout his path-finding he tries himself at the National Opera as a scene decorator, and at the MTV (Hungarian National Television) as set painter too. Later on he studies goldsmithing, but by the end of the ’80-s he ends up painting full-time.

In 1986 he leaves Budapest and moves to the Lake Balaton with his wife Kati. They first live in Paloznak, and later they find their forever-home in the tiny village of Óbudavár, where they establish their shared gallery. In 2007 they move back to Paloznak.

He’s a self-emlpoyed artist since 1984; his master is András Simon graphic artist.

He’s a member of the Veszprém Artists’ Guild since 2000.

In 2014 he gets elected as a member of MAOE (National Institute of Hungarian Creators).
